Wedding season is officially back, and what a way to start with the gorgeous wedding of Djarra & Matt at the breathtaking Twin Waters Golf Club on the Sunshine Coast. From the very first moment I met these two at their engagement shoot earlier in the year, I knew their wedding day would be nothing short of magical.
When Djarra first enquired, she told me how much of a Swiftie she was — and from then on, I just knew we were going to have the best time together. Their day was filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and so much love.
Getting Ready – Sebel Twin Waters & Novotel Twin Waters
The boys started their day at The Sebel Twin Waters, a perfect accommodation spot right along the Maroochy River and just minutes from the venue. With games, laughs, and a few cheeky drinks, this fun-loving group of groomsmen made the morning relaxed and full of energy, which translated perfectly into the photos.
Meanwhile, the girls were getting ready at one of the stunning water bungalows at Novotel Twin Waters. These light-filled spaces are a dream for bridal prep photos, offering the perfect mix of space and natural light. Hair was beautifully styled by Dream Bridal Hair, and makeup was flawlessly done by Kate Ellen Makeup Artistry. Between the giggles, champagne toasts, and stunning final touches, the morning with the girls flew by in no time at all.
The Ceremony – Twin Waters Golf Club
The ceremony was held at the lush and always breathtaking Twin Waters Golf Club. The setup looked divine with florals by The Orange Blossom framing the space perfectly. Before the guests arrived, I had the chance to capture all those beautiful little details — from the ceremony styling to the intricate bouquet blooms.
The ceremony itself was officiated by the ever-talented Married by Megan. I hadn’t worked with Megan before, but I have to say — hers was one of the most heartfelt, beautifully delivered ceremonies I’ve had the privilege to capture. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the love and support for this couple radiated throughout the entire moment.
Couple Photos – Golden Sunshine & Golf Buggies
One of the best parts about weddings at Twin Waters Golf Club is the flexibility of the day. Because the couple chose an earlier ceremony time, they were able to spend some relaxed moments with their guests before heading off for couple portraits.
Then came the fun part — golf buggies! Zipping around the course allowed us to explore the most stunning backdrops. The sun dipped just perfectly over the fairways, creating golden tones that framed Djarra and Matt so beautifully. Their joy was contagious, and with a bridal party that was full of laughs and love, the energy made every photo truly come alive.
The Reception – Sparkler Entrances & Dance Floors
The reception kicked off in style with a sparkler entrance that set the tone for the night. The newlyweds went straight into their first dance, creating such a beautiful atmosphere before settling in to enjoy time with their guests.
Every detail had been carefully thought out — from the delicious cake by Lea Cake Design to the stunning bridal gown from Made With Love Bridal and sharp suits from InStitchu. Guests enjoyed incredible live music from Call Me Will Music, and elegant transfers from Elite Executive Transfers ensured the day flowed seamlessly.
Speeches were heartfelt and full of emotion, followed by dancing, laughter, and unforgettable moments on the dance floor. It truly was one of those weddings where everything just aligned perfectly.
Final Thoughts
Being part of Djarra & Matt’s wedding was such a joy. From start to finish, it was the perfect celebration of love, laughter, and family. Twin Waters Golf Club remains one of my favourite Sunshine Coast wedding venues for its versatility, stunning backdrops, and flawless service.
