01/05/2026 • “The best kind of love story is the one where your best friend becomes your forever.”

There’s something about a Noosa wedding that just feels different. Maybe it’s the salty air rolling in from Main Beach, the pandanus trees swaying around the ceremony locations, or the way everyone instantly relaxes the second they arrive in town. Whatever it is, Olenska & Brady’s wedding day at Maison La Plage and Noosa Boathouse perfectly captured everything couples dream about when planning a Sunshine Coast wedding.

From emotional family moments and handwritten notes, to sunset boat rides and a reception overlooking the Noosa River, their day felt equal parts elegant, sentimental and incredibly fun. It was one of those wedding days where every little detail felt intentional, but nothing felt forced. Just two people completely obsessed with each other, surrounded by the people they love most.

As a Sunshine Coast and Noosa wedding photographer, these are the kinds of wedding days I absolutely adore capturing. Relaxed, genuine, emotional and full of moments that can never be recreated.

If you’re currently planning your own Noosa wedding and searching for a wedding photographer who captures real emotion with an editorial yet candid style, keep reading because this day was honestly magic.

A Beautiful Morning Getting Ready in Noosa

The morning began with the boys getting ready, and instantly the energy was relaxed, light-hearted and full of excitement. Brady was surrounded by his two best mates and soon-to-be brother-in-law, while his parents arrived shortly after.

One of the most special moments from the morning came when Brady’s dad saw him fully dressed for the wedding day. We always talk about emotional father-daughter moments, but seeing a dad quietly emotional watching his son become a husband is something really special.

Meanwhile, over with the girls, Olenska was getting ready alongside her bridesmaids, mum and sister. There’s something so sentimental about having the people who have loved you your entire life help you into your wedding dress.

The bridesmaids also surprised her with a scrapbook filled with handwritten notes and photos together, which absolutely brought on the happy tears.

Olenska looked stunning, and the baby blue bridesmaid dresses were the perfect choice for such an elegant coastal wedding in Noosa.

A Stunning Noosa Ceremony at Maison La Plage

Their ceremony took place at the breathtaking Maison La Plage in Noosa Heads, one of the most iconic ceremony locations on the Sunshine Coast.

Situated just steps from Hastings Street and overlooking Noosa Main Beach, Maison La Plage has become such a sought-after wedding ceremony location for couples wanting that effortless coastal elegance. Between the ocean views, manicured greenery and towering pandanus trees, it genuinely feels like something out of a destination wedding overseas.

For couples planning a Noosa wedding, Maison La Plage is honestly hard to beat.

You can view the venue information here:

Their ceremony was officiated by the incredible Caity the Celebrant, who brought the perfect balance of heartfelt emotion and humour throughout the ceremony.

One thing I absolutely loved was how personal everything felt. There were sentimental moments followed immediately by little giggles from guests, which is honestly the perfect recipe for a memorable wedding ceremony.

The couple exchanged personal vows, and not a single person escaped emotional damage.

There’s always something incredibly moving about hearing two people speak directly to each other in front of everyone they love most. It strips away all the noise of the wedding day and reminds everyone exactly why they’re there.

“Young love is beautiful, but there’s something even more magical about watching young love grow into a lifelong marriage.”

And these two? They just radiated that kind of love.

After the ceremony and first kiss — which absolutely deserved its own round of applause — we smashed out family photos while everyone was still together.

Pro tip for future couples: getting family photos done straight after the ceremony keeps things smooth, efficient and stress-free so you can actually enjoy your cocktail hour later.

Couple Portraits Around Noosa

After family photos, we headed around Noosa for bridal party and couple portraits. We kept things simple with some beautiful forest locations before heading down toward Noosa Main Beach.

Because it was a Friday, the beach was surprisingly quiet which honestly felt like winning the lottery as a Noosa wedding photographer.

These two were just so excited to finally be married, and that energy made photographing them effortless. They laughed together, held onto each other constantly and completely forgot the camera was even there.

That’s exactly why choosing a photographer you genuinely feel comfortable around matters so much.

I always want my couples to feel like they’ve got a friend alongside them rather than someone constantly staging every second of the day. When you feel relaxed, the photos naturally become more emotional, genuine and timeless.

My photography style focuses on candid storytelling mixed with elegant editorial imagery so your gallery feels authentic while still beautifully refined.

Sunset Cruise & Noosa Boathouse Reception

Before heading into the reception, the newlyweds jumped aboard a sunset cruise through Noosa. Despite rain being forecast earlier in the week, we somehow ended up with the dreamiest golden sunset reflecting across the river.

Their reception at Noosa Boathouse was beautifully styled by A Splash Events and felt elegant, romantic and effortlessly coastal.

The entire day centred around connection, family and celebrating with the people who matter most.

Not perfection.
Not timelines.
Just love.

Why Noosa is Perfect for Your Sunshine Coast Wedding

The reception took place at the iconic Noosa Boathouse, one of the most popular wedding venues in Noosa for good reason.

Floating along the Noosa River, the venue offers stunning waterfront views, incredible sunset backdrops and such an effortlessly elegant atmosphere.

Their reception styling by Splash Events completely transformed the space into something sophisticated, romantic and timeless.

Soft candlelight, elegant table styling and the river backdrop created such an elevated atmosphere without losing that relaxed Noosa charm.

Honestly, it was the perfect reflection of Olenska & Brady as a couple.

Elegant without being over-the-top.
Sentimental without feeling too formal.
Fun without losing the romance.

Throughout the evening, family and friends shared speeches that perfectly reflected how deeply loved these two are.

There were emotional moments.
There were embarrassing childhood stories.
There were laughs that echoed across the venue.
And there were definitely a few tears.

The first dance felt like something straight out of a movie.

And then came the cake.

An absolutely incredible wedding cake that honestly deserved its own photoshoot.

One of the biggest things that stood out about this entire wedding day was how centred it was around family and friendships.

Every part of the day reflected connection.

From handwritten notes in the morning, to emotional parent moments, to speeches that had everyone laughing and crying within the same thirty seconds.

That’s what makes a wedding unforgettable.

Not perfection.
Not trends.
Not whether the weather forecast said rain.

Just people showing up fully for each other.
