Josh & Issy’s Pier 33 Mooloolaba Wedding | Sunshine Coast Wedding Day
There’s something extra special about a wedding day that feels equal parts beautifully planned and effortlessly fun — and Josh & Issy’s Pier 33 Mooloolaba wedding delivered exactly that. From canal-side laughs with the boys to a heartfelt ceremony officiated by a close friend, this Sunshine Coast wedding was filled with personal moments, stunning styling and plenty of “just go with it” energy (including a boat ride… because of course).
Groom Prep Overlooking the Sunshine Coast Canals
Josh and the boys got ready at his parents’ home near Mooloolaba, surrounded by family, friends and a whole lot of laughter. The relaxed vibe set the tone for the day — no stiff nerves here, just genuine excitement and banter.
Overlooking the Sunshine Coast canals, the location was perfect for groomsmen getting-ready photos. Between the water views, relaxed light and the boys being fully themselves, it was one of those mornings where the photos almost take themselves.
Bridal Prep Perfection (and Yellow PJ Goals)
Just down the road, Issy and her girls were getting ready at a gorgeous Airbnb — and honestly, every corner of the house felt like a new photo location. Natural light, neutral tones and space to breathe? Wedding photographer dream.
The standout detail was absolutely the florals, beautifully curated by Samia from Oh Honey Florals. Soft, romantic and perfectly Issy — they set the aesthetic for the entire day.
The bridesmaids looked stunning in matching pastel yellow PJ’s before changing into their bridesmaid dresses. Hair and makeup were flawless thanks to Rainey Brooke and Teisha Parker from Dream Bridal Hair, who truly worked their magic.
A Pier 33 Mooloolaba Ceremony With a Personal Touch
Josh & Issy tied the knot at Pier 33 Mooloolaba, one of the Sunshine Coast’s most iconic waterfront wedding venues. Styled beautifully by Oh Honey Florals alongside Ellie Sparks from Sunshine Weddings, the ceremony space upstairs overlooked the Mooloolah River and felt intimate, elegant and relaxed all at once.
One of the most meaningful touches was having a close friend officiate the ceremony — making it deeply personal and something Josh & Issy will cherish forever when looking back on their wedding photos and video.
A Post-Ceremony Boat Ride Along the Canals
After the ceremony, Josh & Issy jumped on Josh’s dad’s boat for a quiet cruise along the canals — just the two of them soaking in their first moments as husband and wife. From a photography perspective (and a human one), this was absolute perfection.
We followed this with relaxed bridal party and couple photos near Pier 33, with golden light, lots of laughs and a bridal party that brought the energy all day long.
Reception, Speeches & a Packed Dance Floor
The reception flowed seamlessly upstairs at Pier 33. After heartfelt speeches, the couple invited everyone onto the dance floor for a group photo — and then DJ Gian Music Official dropped a certified banger. Instantly, the dance floor was packed and the party continued well into the night.
