We kicked off the morning with George and the boys at Everest Maleny, a stunning Airbnb tucked along Mountain View Road — just a short drive from Tiffany's Maleny wedding venue. Lush greenery, soft filtered light, and a seriously relaxed vibe made it the perfect getting-ready spot.

The boys were sharp in classic black (timeless, no notes), and the energy was exactly right — excited, a little chaotic, and a lot of fun. The standout moment? George's parents arriving with a heartfelt letter that stopped the room. A rare few seconds of silence from the lads… followed by a few suspiciously emotional glances and a very quick "right, back to being funny now." 🖤

Bridal Prep | The Rustic Olive, Maleny

Just down the road, Emilia and her girls were getting ready at The Rustic Olive — and honestly, if you're planning a Maleny wedding and need a bridal prep location, put this one on your radar. Spacious, beautifully styled, and full of gorgeous light — it's basically made for wedding morning photos.

The energy in that room was everything. The vows? Equal parts heartfelt and hilarious — the perfect reflection of their relationship. There were tears, there was laughter, and that beautiful collective feeling in the crowd of "yes, these two are absolutely meant to be."

Couples Portraits | Tiffany's Maleny & On The View

After the ceremony, we spent time exploring the iconic grounds of Tiffany's Maleny — and the bridal party absolutely delivered (10/10 energy, no notes whatsoever). Emilia and George made my job incredibly easy by being effortlessly, genuinely in love. These are the portraits I live for as a Sunshine Coast wedding photographer — real, relaxed, and completely them.

Then we snuck away to On The View, just a short drive from Tiffany's… and WOW. After weeks of unpredictable Sunshine Coast weather, we were handed the most golden, dreamlike sunset. The Glass House Mountains glowing soft in the background, warm light wrapping around everything — honestly, it felt a little unfair how perfect it was.

The speeches were a highlight of the night. Heartfelt words from both sets of parents, and a PowerPoint presentation from Emilia's sister that had the whole room in absolute stitches — equal parts roast and love letter, which is honestly the dream. We also saw some beautiful cultural traditions woven into the evening — the classic water vs. vodka moment (a truly risky game), the bread-breaking tradition to decide who "rules the household"… competitive spirits were very much alive.

From there, the dance floor opened — and it didn't slow down once.
