Frequently Asked Questions

Planning your wedding can come with a lot of questions—and I’m here to answer them with honesty, heart, and a bit of fun. Below are some of the most common questions couples ask before booking Angela Brushe Photography. Whether you’re just starting your planning journey or deep in the details, this FAQ page has everything you need to know.

1. What’s your photography style?

My style is all about capturing real moments, big emotions, and the actual vibe of your day—not just the posed, picture-perfect stuff. Whether it’s your wedding day, a couples session, or a fun family shoot, I want you walking away saying, “Wow, that was actually fun.” Expect lots of genuine laughs, candid moments, and no awkward posing. My job is to help you feel relaxed, enjoy the experience, and capture the day in a way that feels like you.

2. How many weddings have you photographed?

Since launching Angela Brushe Photography in 2018 on the Sunshine Coast from moving up from Adelaide, I’ve photographed well over 250 weddings. I average around 50-55 weddings each year, which means I’ve seen it all—from surprise weather to runaway flower girls and everything in between. With ABP, you’re not just hiring a photographer, you’re hiring someone with experience, quick thinking, and the ability to stay cool under pressure while still bringing the hype and the fun.

3. What packages do you offer and what’s included?

I believe in complete transparency, which is why all my pricing and packages are available online. You can view wedding packages at www.angelabrushephotography.com/weddingpackages

As well as elopement and destination wedding packages here: www.angelabrushephotography.com/elopementpackages

I’m a big believer in transparency—that’s why all of my wedding photography packages and pricing are listed openly on my website. No gatekeeping, no awkward back-and-forth emails just to find out the cost. I value your time, and if Angela Brushe Photography doesn’t align with your budget, that’s genuinely okay.

I know the experience, energy, and heart I bring to every wedding day. The connection I form with my couples is just as important as the photos themselves—and that kind of magic isn’t for everyone and thats ok. But if you vibe with my style, feel excited scrolling through my galleries, and want someone who’ll bring calm and fun to your wedding day, then chances are we’re the perfect match.

4. Do you travel for weddings and what are the travel fees?

Absolutely—have camera, will travel. Whether you're planning a coastal elopement, a hinterland wedding, or a destination celebration overseas, I’m there.

As of 2025, travel fees are as follows (prices can change at anytime without notice):

  • Sunshine Coast: $250

  • Brisbane Region: $350

  • Gold Coast Region: $450

  • Gympie Region: $350

For destination weddings, travel fees typically include flights, accommodation, car hire (if needed), and a per-day expense rate per staff member. I absolutely love destination weddings—they offer a whole different energy and allow me to document your love story in epic, meaningful settings.

5. How do we book you and how far in advance should we do it?

The sooner, the better! Popular wedding dates can book out 18-24 months in advance. Some weekends remain open until 6-8 weeks out, but availability is constantly changing. I always say: if you want ABP to be part of your day, enquire as soon as possible right here. Dates can fill up fast—sometimes within a few days.

6. What happens if it rains or something unexpected happens?

Rain happens—especially in Queensland. When it does, you have two options: embrace it or adapt. Some of my favourite images have come from rainy wedding days. Clear umbrellas, a backup pair of shoes, and a spare shirt (especially for the guys) go a long way. You’re never going to regret having fun in the rain, but you will regret letting it stop you from making the most of your day.

7. How many images do we receive and how long does it take to get them?

There’s no photo limit. As a rough guide, I usually deliver around 150+ edited images per hour of shooting—but it’s often more. I focus on telling a complete story, not just a highlight reel. Your full gallery is typically delivered within 12 weeks, and you’ll get sneak peeks within a few days after the wedding.

8. Can we request specific shots or must-have moments?

Yes please—send them through! I love getting to know what moments and images matter most to you. A few inspo shots are totally fine, but try not to get lost in a 100-image Pinterest board. Trust me to capture the day authentically, while still honouring the moments that are uniquely "you."

9. Do you offer engagement shoots?

I sure do. Engagement sessions are included with most full-day wedding packages and are a great chance for us to meet and shake off those camera nerves. You’ll walk away feeling way more relaxed for the big day and its never a bad thing to have more photos with your partner, right?

You can find the locations I use for engagement photoshoots here:

10. Do you offer elopement packages?

Yes! I adore elopements and offer packages starting from just 2 hours of coverage. These are perfect for intimate weddings, registry-style celebrations, or mountaintop "just us" moments. Elopements can be booked year-round, but Friday and Saturday elopements during peak season are only available within 8 weeks of the date.

11. Do you help with wedding day timelines or planning?

Definitely. Around 6-8 weeks out from your big day, I’ll send you a wedding questionnaire that helps us build a timeline tailored to your day. I usually work backward from sunset so we can make the most of golden hour for your couple photos. Whether your ceremony and portraits are all at one venue or you’re moving locations, I help make sure everything flows smoothly.

12. Are you insured and do you have backup equipment?

Yes and yes. ABP carries public liability insurance and always arrives fully prepared. I shoot with two cameras on the day, with backups in the car just in case. I also highly recommend booking a second shooter—they help capture different angles, reactions, and candid moments I might miss while getting the key shots.

13. Do you have photography & videography packages?

At Angela Brushe Photography, I offer both photography-only and photography + video packages to capture your wedding day in the most complete and meaningful way possible. Whether you're after timeless stills or want to relive the movement, emotion, and sound of your vows in a beautifully crafted highlight film—you’ve got options!

However, I don’t offer video-only packages. My approach is built around storytelling through still imagery, and when video is included, it’s always alongside photography to ensure a seamless, cohesive experience. My team and I work closely together on the day to ensure nothing is missed and every moment flows effortlessly between photo and film.

14. What sets you apart from other wedding photographers?

At Angela Brushe Photography, it’s not just about capturing beautiful photos—it’s about preserving the soul of your wedding day. With a relaxed, documentary-style approach, I capture the real, emotional, and unscripted moments that tell your unique love story. I bring a calm presence, a good laugh, and years of experience to every shoot. I’m not just another vendor—I’m your hype girl, your timeline wrangler, and your memory maker. If you’re after fun, meaningful, unforced wedding photography that celebrates you, you’re in the right place.
