Emily & Callum’s Yandina Station Wedding

March 29, 2025 – Through hell or literal high water, Emily and Callum’s wedding at Yandina Station on the Sunshine Coast will forever be one for the memory books. From chaotic Queensland weather to heartwarming moments of family and love, this day had it all—and somehow, it turned out absolutely perfect.

Floods, Delays & Sunshine: A Wedding Day Rollercoaster

The day started with a wild twist—flooded roads and inaccessible venues. On our way to Yandina Station, we had to turn back as the surrounding roads were underwater. Eventually, by 1:30pm, we were able to access the property and hit the ground running.

With one staff member already out due to the weather, we arrived to the groomsmen making the best of the situation. The skies had completely cleared and the sun was shining—classic Queensland unpredictability. The boys were in great spirits, drinks in hand, Akubra on heads, and Callum absolutely glowing at the thought of marrying Emily.

Bridal Prep with Emily

Over at the bride's quarters, Emily looked stunning. Her bridal prep was full of joyful moments, from first looks with her bridesmaids to a special reveal with her dad. Her dress? Simply divine. Her energy? Radiating excitement and grace. Despite everything, she couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle.

Weather Chaos Turned Wedding Magic

The ceremony was originally set for 4:00pm, but due to some key family members still making their way through the flooded roads, it was pushed to 5:00pm. With time on our side, we pivoted quickly—a professional wedding photography team makes all the difference in these moments—and captured the bridal party photos early, saving precious sunset minutes for couple portraits later.

A Ceremony Like No Other

The ceremony, led by the always incredible Ange Anderson from Married by Ange, was everything. Full of laughs, happy tears, and the most “Emily & Callum” twist ever—a meat raffle and rings hidden under chairs for a lucky dip witnessing. Yep, you read that right. It was authentic, fun, and uniquely them.

Golden Hour Couple Photos & Reception Vibes

With only 20 minutes before sunset, myself and videographer Will moved quickly to capture the magic. And wow, did the sunset show up for us. You’d never guess the chaos that unfolded just hours before. The result? Some of my favorite golden hour photos ever.

The night rolled on into a beautiful reception full of love, laughter, heartfelt speeches, and dancing. Emily and Callum were the definition of grace under pressure. I've seen couples get overwhelmed over far less—but these two embraced every twist and turn and came out the other side glowing.

A Love Story to Remember

Emily & Callum, thank you for having me capture this day. Your love, resilience, and joy made it an unforgettable experience. Congratulations again—not just on your wedding, but your growing family too.
