A rainforest Airbnb, custom dresses, surprise rainbows, and a Notebook-worthy boat ride — Judith and Mitch’s Sunshine Coast wedding was one for the books!

When love and laughter take centre stage, magic follows — and Judith and Mitch’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. Celebrated at the breathtaking Prideaux Estate on the Sunshine Coast, their 26th of April wedding was filled with heartfelt moments, a few cheeky surprises, and picture-perfect backdrops that photographers dream of.

The Morning Vibes – Getting Ready

Our day kicked off at a gorgeous little Airbnb nestled in the rainforest, where the groom and groomsmen were getting ready — also the spot where Judith and Mitch would spend their first night together as husband and wife. Romantic? Tick.

The guys brought the energy (and a few beers), all dressed in matching navy suits, with Mitch standing out in a stylish vest. We breezed through their prep photos with ease, thanks to their relaxed vibe and enthusiasm, and headed over to see the girls.

Just a short drive away, Judith and her bridal party were glowing with excitement. She had designed and custom-made her own wedding dress (yes, really!) and the night before, her and the girls had hand-crafted their own beautiful bouquets. The creativity and love in that room was next-level.

Despite a few teasing clouds in the sky, the sunshine broke through just in time for some gorgeous bridal portraits outdoors. The bridesmaids were on a mission — to make this the most beautiful day ever for their girl — and wow, did they deliver.

Ceremony at Prideaux Estate

Prideaux Estate was buzzing with anticipation as guests arrived, and the stunning property proved once again why it’s one of the Sunshine Coast’s most iconic wedding venues. Judith arrived in a vintage car, beaming with excitement, and was greeted by one of the cutest ring bearers we’ve seen — their beloved dog!

The ceremony was intimate, emotional, and officiated by a close family member and pastor — adding even more sentiment to the moment.

With the “I do’s” sealed and the happy tears flowing, we moved straight into family photos and then a relaxed garden party with cake cutting and heartfelt speeches under the open skies.

Notebook Moments by the Lake

Judith and Mitch had one request when it came to their couple photos: “We love the boat!” So, we made it happen. Against the backdrop of the lake and lush greenery at Prideaux Estate, we captured their very own Notebook moment— and yes, it was just as romantic as it sounds.

The property is a photographer’s dream, with countless stunning locations. And as the clouds rolled in, we just barelybeat the rain and made our way to the reception venue, grinning from ear to ear.

Reception at The Green at Tanawha – Laidback, Warm, and Unforgettable

This was my first time at The Green at Tanawha, and let me just say — I’ll be back. The venue is small, rustic, and full of charm. Think: chilled vibes, fairy lights, timber features, and the kind of laidback atmosphere that lets love and laughter take over.

The owners were incredibly welcoming, making everyone feel right at home. Safehands Catering brought their A-game with what might have been the most delicious wedding food I’ve ever tasted — seriously, 10/10.

As the sun set and the lights twinkled, the dance floor erupted. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.
