There are wedding days that just feel right from the very beginning — and Kirsten and Brendon’s beautiful day at Praise Mountain Farm was exactly that. Set in the lush Brisbane hinterland, surrounded by rolling hills, open paddocks and golden light, their day was the perfect mix of love, laughter and relaxed charm.

Getting Ready – A Calm Morning Filled with Love

The day began at Kirsten’s home, where she got ready alongside her three stepdaughters, her mum and her best friend. There’s something so special about those quiet, happy hours before the ceremony — the laughter, the music playing softly in the background, and that contagious excitement that fills the air.

Kirsten was calm, collected and simply glowing. You could see in her eyes that she just couldn’t wait to marry the love of her life. Having her girls there made the morning even more meaningful — it was a beautiful reflection of the family they’ve built together. The room was full of joy, giggles, and a few happy tears as hair and makeup were done by the talented Laura Borzillo Makeup Artistry.

Brendon’s Turn – A Stylish Start to the Day

We arrived a little early to the venue, which gave us the perfect opportunity to capture some of Brendon’s getting ready photos. Surrounded by his stepson and a few close mates, the atmosphere was easygoing and full of laughter.

Brendon looked incredibly sharp in his suit — a timeless choice that suited the rustic yet elegant setting of Praise Mountain Farm. There was an air of quiet anticipation as he adjusted his tie, shared a laugh with his mates, and got ready to say “I do.”

The Ceremony – A Love Tied Together

The ceremony was nothing short of magical — perfectly them in every way. Celebrant Renee Wilkins led a heartfelt and personal ceremony that celebrated their journey, their love, and their family.

“Love is not about how many days, months or years you’ve been together — it’s about how much you love each other every single day.”

Kirsten and Brendon exchanged emotional personal vows that had everyone tearing up. One of the most touching parts of their ceremony was the handfasting ritual, where all of the children joined in to bring over the rope that symbolised their unity and family bond. It was a moment that beautifully represented not just their love for each other, but the joining of their families.

A ceremony like this reminds us just how powerful and meaningful a personalised celebration can be — one that reflects who you are as a couple and what truly matters most.

After the ceremony, we wandered around the property for their wedding portraits. The paddocks glowed under the most perfect golden light — that dreamy, cinematic kind of light that photographers chase!

Despite the forecast teasing the possibility of thunderstorms, the weather held off and gave us the most beautiful soft sunset. Without a bridal party, we were able to really focus on capturing the connection between the two of them — every look, every laugh, every quiet moment in between.

The wide open fields and tall trees created a stunning backdrop, and every image radiated love and joy. It truly was the best day of their lives.

The Reception – Pizza, Dancing & Good Vibes

Much like the rest of the day, the reception was relaxed, fun and full of love. The celebration carried into the evening with heartfelt speeches, plenty of laughter, and a delicious pizza dinner catered by Farmer Brown’s Pizza — a hit with every guest!

There was cake from The Cheesecake Shop, a beautiful first dance, and then the dance floor lit up as Kent Dustin brought the party to life with his music and DJ skills. It was the perfect end to a perfect day — full of warmth, laughter and happy memories that will last a lifetime.
