Despite the unpredictable weather, their day unfolded with magic, golden light, and memories that will last a lifetime. Groom Prep in the Misty Mountains 🌫️🍻

The day kicked off in Maleny, where Jesse and his groomsmen got ready at a cozy Airbnb. Typically, this location offers sweeping views of the Glass House Mountains, but on this particular morning, a thick fog rolled in – and honestly, it was a whole vibe. The soft mist created a calm, cinematic atmosphere as the boys shared laughs, cracked beers, and offered Jesse heartfelt words before the big moment.

With four groomsmen by his side, Jesse suited up with the help of his closest mates. It was the perfect start to a day that would be full of surprises and sentiment.

Bridal Beauty at Flaxton Gardens 👰💐

Meanwhile, Kricket and her girls prepped for the day on-site at Flaxton Gardens, which is one of the many reasons couples fall in love with this venue – it has everything you need for a seamless wedding experience.

As the rain began to ease, the energy in the bridal suite lifted. The bridesmaids looked radiant in their dresses, and Kricket – absolutely glowing – was filled with excitement and nerves in the best way. A teary first look with her dad added a sweet and emotional moment, followed by an equally heartwarming first look with her bridesmaids. The love in that room was palpable, and it set the tone for the heartfelt ceremony to come.

A Ceremony Made Just for Them 💍☔

With the grass still muddy from earlier showers, the couple opted for an indoor ceremony at Flaxton Gardens – and honestly, it turned out to be absolutely perfect. The intimate setting, paired with meaningful words and a heartfelt exchange of vows, made this ceremony one to remember.

Due to the challenging indoor lighting, we made the creative decision to shoot the ceremony from the back. What could have been a limitation actually turned into something really special – this angle allowed us to capture the emotional expressions of all their guests throughout the ceremony, including during the vows and the first kiss. You could truly feel the love in the room, and the photos are filled with sweet, candid reactions that made the whole moment even more meaningful.

Then, as if on cue, the sun made a surprise appearance just in time for group and couple portraits. The transformation was unreal – you’d never know it had rained just hours earlier.

We took full advantage of the stunning gardens and iconic Flaxton views, capturing romantic golden-hour photos with Kricket, Jesse, and their bridal party. The energy was high, the bridal party was vibing, and the light was everything we could’ve hoped for.

The reception kicked off with a bang, MC’ed by a close friend of the couple who brought a personal touch and loads of laughs. From heartfelt speeches to an epic cake cutting, every moment was packed with love and joy.

Kricket and Jesse’s grand entrance was one for the books, and their guests were keen to hit the dance floor – like, first-song-hands-in-the-air levels of keen. We wrapped the night with some gorgeous night shots under the stars and a fun, fizzy champagne pop to celebrate a day that had it all.
