As a Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, I’m lucky enough to shoot some beautiful locations – but Braeside truly is next level. From the moment we arrived at the venue’s picture-perfect bridal suite, it was clear this place was made for photography. Soft natural light, stylish interiors, and every corner ready for the camera. It was such a dream setting for Nathalie and her girls to get ready – and let’s be honest, Nat made my job easy with her glowing smile and jaw-dropping Wendy Makin gown.

A Chapel Ceremony Full of Laughter and Tears

The ceremony was held in the stunning Braeside Estate chapel, officiated by the lovely Toni Paget, an award-winning celebrant who always brings the perfect mix of heart and warmth. One of the standout moments of the day? Tyler entering the ceremony to his "one true love" – the North Melbourne AFL team song. It gave everyone a well-needed laugh before the emotions kicked in as Nathalie walked down the aisle. Not a dry eye in sight.

Sunshine, Canapés, and Capturing Golden Moments

The weather turned it on for these two – warm sun, blue skies, and just the right touch of breeze. Nathalie and Tyler were big on making sure they had plenty of time to enjoy their day with loved ones, so instead of rushing straight into portraits, they relaxed and mingled during canapé hour. I love when couples prioritise this – it always creates more relaxed and authentic photos later.

And when we did start couple photos, I was in absolute heaven. Braeside Estate offers an insane number of photo spots – gardens, tree-lined paths, elegant architecture, and even a stunning open field across the road for those epic sunset shots. Add a fun bridal party and some seriously golden hour light, and it was photographer paradise.

A Reception to Remember

The reception was just as heartfelt as the rest of the day. Beautiful speeches, emotional moments, and a first dance that had everyone reaching for the tissues. Then the vibe shifted, and Manu Music brought the party – the dance floor was well and truly destroyed in the best way. We even snuck out for some romantic nighttime shots to wrap up the perfect day.
