There’s something magical about a wedding day at Delaneys Estate — the kind of magic that feels both deeply Australian and deeply romantic. It’s a true country-estate-meets-modern-love kind of place… a hidden gem perfectly tucked between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, making it an easy, beautiful location for couples who want a relaxed country setting without the long drive.

And for Megan & James, it was exactly where their love story was meant to unfold.

The Boys Getting Ready

James and his two groomsmen got ready onsite at Delaneys Estate. The boys set the tone for the day early on: music blaring, laughs echoing, ties being tied (and re-tied), and jokes no mother needs to hear.

They were fun, but more importantly — they were having fun together. Exactly how you want a wedding morning to feel.

The Girls Getting Ready — Effortlessly Stunning & Pure Joy

Meanwhile, Megan and her bridesmaids were getting ready just a few steps away. Megan was the definition of calm and glowing, thanks to the incredible glam team at La Rose Beauty who made her look flawless while still feeling authentically like herself.

The room was full of laughter, hairspray, heartfelt moments, and that classic bridesmaid hype that every bride deserves. It was simply a joyful, beautiful start to the day.

The Ceremony — Heartfelt, Loving & Absolutely Them

Their ceremony, held under the open country skies of Delaneys Estate, was brought to life by the wonderful Celebrate With Shelby. Shelby crafted a ceremony that was warm, loving, personal, and full of moments that had guests both smiling and quietly wiping tears.

The way Megan and James looked at each other truly said it all.
One of my favourite quotes about love says:
“A soulmate is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and loves you just as you are.”

That energy flowed through every moment of their ceremony — tender, sweet, and undeniably them.

Golden Hour Couple Photos — A Hidden Sunset Gem

After the ceremony, we slipped away for their couple portraits. Just a short drive up from the venue is a hidden little lookout point — the kind of place you’d never know existed unless someone pointed it out (which thankfully… someone did!).

The sunset drenched everything in warm gold, the hills glowed softly, and Megan & James shared their private vows in the quiet of golden hour. It was emotional, intimate, and incredibly grounding.

They topped it off with a private first dance surrounded by nature — a moment that felt like a pause button in the middle of a beautifully busy day. Intimate, meaningful, and truly theirs.

Reception, Speeches & Pizza — The Perfect Combo

As the sun dipped away, everyone made their way to the beautifully styled reception — all planned and perfectly coordinated by the incredible Simply Kate. She made the entire day feel effortless, polished, and completely stress-free (honestly, every couple deserves a planner like her).

Speeches were filled with heartfelt stories, laughs, and those classic “should we tell this one?” moments. Then came the wood-fired pizza from Jungle Oven Catering — and there’s something about eating pizza at a wedding that just hits differently.

Megan & James skipped straight into dancing with their friends and family, keeping the energy high and the love flowing.

We ended the night with a champagne pop… which, in true celebration style, exploded everywhere and covered me head-to-toe. I drove home smelling like a very fancy bottle of bubbly — and honestly? Totally worth it for the photo.
