On the 27th of March, 2025, Sascha and Lachlan tied the knot in a day filled with deep love, beautiful family moments, and a touch of rain that made everything even more magical. Their Summergrove Estate wedding was the perfect blend of emotion, joy, and celebration – and I feel so honoured to have captured every moment as their photographer, videographer, and content creator.

Getting Ready in Kingscliff – The Bride’s Morning

The day began in a dreamy light-filled Airbnb in Kingscliff, where Sascha and her closest loved ones were getting ready. With gorgeous soft natural light streaming in through the windows, it made for some of my favourite bridal getting-ready photos ever. Her stunning wedding gown hung beside her daughter Hazel’s sweet little dress – a detail that made my heart melt.

One of the most touching moments? Sascha’s mum helping her into her dress, and then Sascha helping Hazel get into hers. A beautiful full-circle moment between three generations of strong women.

Lachlan, Dusty, and a Father-Son Moment at Summergrove

Meanwhile, we headed to the breathtaking Summergrove Estate to capture Lachlan and his son Dusty getting ready in one of the on-site villas. Lachlan’s dad was also there – and watching these three generations share in the getting-ready process was such a heartwarming moment. These kinds of authentic family memories are what make wedding days truly unforgettable.

A Series of Emotional First Looks

As the bride arrived at Summergrove Estate, anticipation was building. Instead of a single first look, Sascha and Lachlan chose to have multiple emotional first look moments – and honestly, they were EVERYTHING. Sascha’s first look with Dusty, Lachlan’s first look with Hazel, and finally – the bride and groom’s own first look with private vows.

WEDDING TIP: Private vows are such a beautiful and intimate addition for couples who want to say those heartfelt words away from a crowd. These two took time just for themselves, and it was a moment brimming with pure emotion.

Ceremony in the Chapel – With a Unique Rainy Twist

The ceremony took place in Summergrove’s iconic white chapel, framed by scenic views of the hinterland. As the couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends, the rain began to softly fall. The sound of rain tapping on the chapel roof added a whimsical, romantic feel – a little unexpected, but totally unforgettable.

Celebration Hour & Champagne Tower

After the ceremony, we gathered guests for a joyful group photo and family portraits, followed by a lively celebration hour. A champagne tower kicked off the mingling and toasts, as everyone came together to celebrate the newlyweds.

While the rain lingered, we found the perfect break to sneak in some stunning couple portraits, making the most of Summergrove’s lush backdrops.

Outfit Change, Gelato Cart, and a Night of Dancing

As the reception began, Sascha wowed everyone with an outfit change into a second gown made by a close friend – it was effortlessly chic and personal. Guests were treated to heartfelt speeches, a choreographed first dance, and an epic party to end the night.

One of the night’s sweetest touches? A gelato cart, perfect for a relaxed, fun dessert experience under the stars.

A Full-Circle Moment and A Photographer’s Joy

A little fun fact that makes this story even more special: I met Sascha and Lachlan back in 2021 at another wedding. And four years later, they chose Angela Brushe Photography to capture their big day. What an absolute honour.
