On the 1st of August 2025, Tara and Dylan tied the knot in what can only be described as a magical Sunshine Coast wedding at The Lakehouse, Mountain Creek. From heartfelt moments to jaw-dropping sunset skies, their day was an absolute dream to capture. As a Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, I get to witness some incredible days—but this one truly stood out.
Getting Ready at The Sebel, Maroochydore
The day began with Tara and her bridesmaids getting ready at The Sebel in Maroochydore—a favourite spot for bridal prep on the Sunshine Coast. The energy in the room was electric. Laughter, happy chaos, and champagne flowed as hair and makeup finished up. Tara had a beautiful emotional first look with her mum, which definitely brought a tear to the eye. These are the moments I live to capture—raw, real, and full of heart.
Tara looked absolutely radiant in her gown. Every detail, from her soft waves to her elegant accessories, was perfection. Her bridesmaids brought such fun energy, making the entire prep feel like a celebration in itself.
A Ceremony with a View at The Lakehouse, Mountain Creek
Arriving at The Lakehouse felt like stepping into a postcard. Nestled right by the water, the ceremony space is simply breathtaking. It’s one of my favourite Sunshine Coast wedding venues for a reason—it has that perfect mix of natural beauty and laid-back elegance.
Dylan made a bold and brilliant choice with his all-white suit (something I don’t get to see very often!) and looked so sharp standing at the altar. The ceremony itself was filled with both laughter and happy tears, completely true to who Tara and Dylan are as a couple. Their love for each other was felt by everyone lucky enough to be there.
Sunset Couple Photos at The Lakehouse
After the ceremony, we explored the grounds of The Lakehouse for couple and bridal party photos. As the sun began to dip lower, little golden pockets of light filtered through the trees. It’s one of those venues where you don’t need to go far to find beauty—the whole area glows at sunset.
Tara and Dylan shared quiet moments together, soaking in the day just the two of them. These golden hour portraits turned out to be some of my favourites from the entire wedding season.
A Sky Set on Fire – The Ultimate Wedding Sunset
Just when we thought the day couldn’t get more stunning, the sky put on an absolute show. I’ve seen some beautiful sunsets in my time as a Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, but this one was something else entirely. Fiery orange skies with dramatic cloud formations lit up the entire venue—it was the most incredible way to end a day that already felt too good to be true.
Thank You, Tara & Dylan
Tara and Dylan, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day. It was an honour to witness such a meaningful celebration and to freeze those fleeting moments for you both to look back on for years to come.
