Jasmine & Tom | An Epic Noosa Boathouse Wedding
If I had to sum up Jasmine and Tom's wedding day in one word, it would be epic. And honestly? In eleven-plus years of shooting weddings on the Sunshine Coast, that's not a word I throw around lightly.
This is a couple who fell in love on the other side of the world, in London, before packing up their lives and moving to New Zealand together. So when it came time to choose where to say "I do," there was only ever one answer — Noosa, the place on the Sunshine Coast they love the most. Lucky for me.
Getting Ready: Coastal Suits and Hasting Street Light
The boys kicked things off at the newly renovated Elysium Noosa (you might remember it as the Sofitel) — all class, all style, exactly the vibe for a groom who wanted his morning fun, relaxed and a little bit fancy. Tom and his groomsmen suited up in coastal beige, cracked a few beers, shared a few laughs, and generally made getting-ready photos look easy.
Meanwhile, just down from Hastings Street, Jasmine was getting ready in an Airbnb absolutely drenched in white, natural light (a wedding photographer's dream, if you're wondering). Hair and makeup by the endlessly talented Kate Ellen Makeup Artistry and Niki Taylor Hair had Jasmine glowing, and every detail — from the florals to the colour palette — told me straight away this was going to be a stunning one. Jasmine, for her part, was completely unbothered and totally ready to marry the love of her life.
The First Look (Cue the Tears)
Jasmine and Tom chose to do a first look before the ceremony, followed by some couple portraits — and honestly, it's one of my favourite parts of days like this. With a lot of their nearest and dearest having flown in from Europe and New Zealand, carving out that quiet, just-the-two-of-them time meant they could spend every spare minute after the ceremony soaking up their guests instead of ducking off for photos.
The second Tom laid eyes on Jasmine, he was in tears. Genuinely one of those moments you feel lucky to witness, let alone photograph. We wandered around the nearby national park for some portraits before heading to the ceremony — and if you're keeping score, that was tears round one. There would be more.
An Ocean-View Ceremony at Casuarina Gardens
The ceremony was held at Casuarina Gardens, overlooking Noosa Main Beach, with florals by Willow Bud Wedding Flowers that had the whole space popping with colour. As Jasmine made her way down the aisle, Tom cried again — and if that doesn't tell you everything about how ready these two were to marry each other, I don't know what will.
Dan Ford, one of the best celebrants working on the Sunshine Coast, officiated with the perfect balance of heartfelt and hilarious — exactly Jasmine and Tom's energy.
Boats, Beach Portraits, and a Sunset Party
After the ceremony we snuck in some quick bridal party and couple portraits along the rock wall on Noosa Main Beach, before the real fun began — the boat transfer to Noosa Boathouse. If you haven't been to a wedding here, let me tell you: ferrying your guests from the beach to the reception by boat at golden hour is next-level. Equal parts novelty and pure joy for the bridal party and every guest on board. I'm not sure I'll ever get sick of photographing it.
Speeches, a Champagne Tower, and a Dancefloor That Didn't Stop
Reception celebrations kicked off with speeches, a showstopping champagne tower, and catering from the Noosa Boathouse team themselves. Then Will from Call Me Will took over the decks and absolutely let rip on the dancefloor — which, if you've ever seen a room full of very happy, very relieved wedding guests get the green light to dance, makes for some of the best candid photos of the whole day.
A Day I'll Never Forget
Jasmine and Tom, thank you for having me. Days like yours are exactly why I do this job — getting to witness two people so completely ready to say yes to forever, and being trusted to capture every tear, laugh and dance floor moment along the way. This one's going straight into my favourites for 2026, and I'll be grateful for it for a very long time.
