Kristyn & Logan’s Love-Soaked Wedding at Tamborine Mountain Glades | 15.11.25

Some weddings feel like a warm hug… and some feel like a warm hug followed by a full Queensland thunderstorm. Kristyn and Logan’s wedding at the stunning Tamborine Mountain Glades had both — which honestly just made it even more iconic.

From sentimental DIY touches to heart-melting moments with their son, and a race-against-the-rain photo session straight out of an action movie, this wedding day was peak Mount Tamborine magic.

Getting Ready – The Girls at the Lodges

Kristyn spent her wedding morning tucked inside one of the beautiful on-site lodges at Tamborine Mountain Glades, and honestly, there’s just something special about getting ready surrounded by rainforest. Between the laughter, the coffee (okay… champagne), and her glam team — the talented Tamika Draper for hair and makeup — the energy was calm but excited, like the good kind of butterflies.

And can we talk about her dress? A show-stopping gown from Pearl Bridal that looked like it was designed specifically for her. The entire bridal suite went silent when she put it on — and that never happens. Add in the gorgeous florals by Camino Events Co, and we officially had a “Pinterest board come to life” moment.

Getting Ready – The Boys at the Lodges

Meanwhile, in the other lodges, the boys were having a totally different experience — one that involved figuring out how to put on bow ties and deciding which beer was “ceremonial” vs “pre-ceremonial.” Logan was cool, calm, and collected… mostly. His groomsman? A delightful mix of chaos and charm (in the best way).

Having both sides get ready at the venue was perfect — nobody was rushing, nobody got lost, and I could bounce between them effortlessly to capture every moment. This is one of the reasons I love photographing weddings at this all-in-one venue.

A Ceremony Filled With Love (and Just Beating the Storm!)

The ceremony took place onsite beneath the lush greenery that Tamborine is known for. And officiating the moment was the legendary Mitch Sargent – The Surfing Celebrant. He brought the perfect mix of meaning, humour, and all-round good vibes.

One of the most beautiful details? Their son being part of the ceremony. There’s something incredibly grounding about watching two people say “I do” with the little human they created right there with them. It gave the whole moment this tenderness you could feel.

And — because Queensland likes to keep us humble — we wrapped the ceremony just in time before the sky opened up.
As the quote goes: “To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.” Luckily for us, we also avoided the rain from both sides… by approximately twenty minutes.

A DIY Touch That Melted Hearts

Some details stick with you, and Kristyn’s handmade welcome sign was one of them. Created lovingly by the bride herself, it stood at the entrance greeting guests with warmth and personality. I adore sentimental touches like this — they make a wedding day uniquely yours and give me so many beautiful moments to photograph.

The Fastest Photo Session Ever (But Make It Iconic)

Right after the ceremony we sprinted — lovingly — into their photo session. The sky was rumbling, the rainforest was darkening, and we were basically in a rom-com montage where the couple has 12 minutes to get their dream photos before the storm hits.

And you know what?
We NAILED it.

This is where hiring a photographer who can adapt to any conditions becomes essential. When things get stressful, panicked, or unpredictable — that’s when experience matters. At Angela Brushe Photography, I pride myself on being able to create magic whether it’s sunshine, storm clouds, or a “quick everyone RUN under the trees!” moment.

And the photos? Absolutely stunning. Moody rainforest colours, soft light, and so much love between these two.

When the Storm Hit… We Waited. Then We Partied.

The heavens opened, and for about 40–60 minutes it absolutely poured. But Queensland storms never last forever — and once it cleared, the reception came alive.

Set and styled beautifully by Tamborine Mountain Glades alongside Camino Events Co, the reception space looked warm, intimate, and ready for a celebration.

Guests enjoyed amazing food, heartfelt speeches, and a first dance that made everyone collectively sigh. And then Nik Nat Entertainment took over as DJ & MC and brought the vibe to a whole new level. Good music, good energy, and one of those dance floors that just keeps getting better as the night goes on.

To top it off, the sweetest cake by Emily Bakes — perfectly soft, beautifully decorated, and a crowd favourite.

A Perfect Day in the Mountains

Kristyn and Logan’s Tamborine Mountain Glades wedding was heartfelt, emotional, funny, and filled with everything that truly matters. The love they share, the family they are building, and the absolute resilience of a wedding day that laughs in the face of a storm.

They booked both photography and videography with me, and capturing their day in full was an honour I’ll never forget.

I adore photographing weddings in Mount Tamborine — there’s something about the rainforest, the mountain air, the moody afternoons, and the way love feels amplified here.
Kristyn and Logan, thank you for trusting me with your memories. What a day. What a love story.
