Holly & Brendan’s Maleny Manor Wedding | Sunshine Coast Hinterland Wedding Photographer
Holly & Brendan – 26 November 2025 | Maleny Manor, Sunshine Coast Hinterland
There’s something incredibly special about a Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding in late November – the lush green landscapes, that soft mountain air (okay… sometimes warm mountain air), and venues that feel like you’ve escaped to Europe without leaving Queensland. Holly and Brendan’s wedding day at Maleny Manor was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, relaxed vibes and just enough humour to keep things light when emotions ran high.
As a Sunshine Coast wedding photographer, Maleny Manor is one of those venues that never disappoints – and this day was no exception.
Groom Prep at Maleny Manor
Brendan and the boys got ready upstairs at Maleny Manor, keeping things refreshingly simple and stress-free. With just one groomsman by his side, the morning moved quickly – no chaos, no missing cufflinks, just good company and a few laughs. Having both photography and videography on the wedding day meant these quieter moments were beautifully captured without feeling rushed.
Because this was a summer wedding in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Brendan and his groomsman opted for classic beige suits – a perfect choice for the warm weather and the neutral, elegant tones of Maleny Manor.
Bridal Prep in the Loft (With Air-Con – Praise Be)
Holly and the girls got ready upstairs in the loft of the manor, which had recently been fitted with air conditioning – an absolute game changer for a November wedding. Anyone who’s experienced Queensland humidity knows this was the MVP of the morning.
The glam team worked their magic early on, with Kate Ellen Makeup creating flawless, glowing looks for the girls, while Dream Bridal Hair curated soft, romantic hairstyles that somehow survived the humidity from start to finish (honestly impressive).
From oversized tees and morning giggles to slipping into her stunning Grace Loves Lace gown, Holly looked effortlessly beautiful and completely at ease – the kind of calm that sets the tone for the entire day.
Why Maleny Manor Is Perfect for an All-Inclusive Wedding
If you’re planning a Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding, Maleny Manor is hard to beat. It’s one of the best all-inclusive wedding venues in Queensland, offering:
On-site accommodation for getting ready
A chapel and outdoor ceremony options
Multiple reception spaces
Endless photo locations (without leaving the property)
Not having to travel between locations means the day flows effortlessly – more time celebrating, less time in transit.
A Chapel Ceremony (For the Comfort of Everyone)
Holly and Brendan originally planned an outdoor ceremony, but with the heat creeping up, they made the call to move into the chapel – a decision their guests were very thankful for. Shade, seating and a cool breeze meant everyone could focus on what mattered most.
Their ceremony was short, sweet and deeply meaningful, with legal vows only. Officiated by the wonderful Sommer Saunder, the ceremony was warm, loving and perfectly balanced. Sommer is incredibly well-known across the Sunshine Coast hinterland for creating ceremonies that feel genuine and personal without being over the top – and this one was no different.
Intentional Breaks & Time With Loved Ones
Once the ceremony concluded, Holly and Brendan did something that more couples should consider – they gave themselves 45 minutes to relax, grab a drink and spend time with family and friends.
Rather than rushing straight into photos, they intentionally broke up the day so they could actually enjoy their wedding. Those small windows of connection made the day feel relaxed, present and full of genuine joy.
Wedding Photos Around Maleny Manor
Afterwards, we explored the stunning grounds of Maleny Manor for bridal party and couple portraits. This venue truly has it all:
Vineyard backdrops
Rolling hinterland views
Manicured gardens and florals
The iconic helipad
Despite a rainy forecast looming in the background, the weather behaved beautifully. A few clouds drifted past, the light stayed soft, and the day remained absolutely pitch perfect.
Reception, Speeches & Dancing the Night Away
As the reception kicked off, guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches, the cake cutting, and a short but sweet first dance. And then? Straight into party mode.
Holly and Brendan wasted no time getting everyone on the dance floor – exactly how they wanted it. Laughter, big moves, and plenty of celebratory chaos filled the night.
We wrapped up the evening with a few nighttime portraits around the grounds of Maleny Manor – a stunning way to finish the day at one of the Sunshine Coast hinterland’s most prestigious wedding venues.
